Vietnam-India economic cooperation grows strongly

(VOVworld) –Vietnam and India witnessed remarkable progresses economic cooperation in 2016, said Vietnamese Ambassador to India Ton Sinh Thanh.

He made the remark at a session within the framework of the 4th business conclave between India and four ASEAN countries, namely Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam (CLMV), in India’s Jaipur city, on Tuesday. 
Mr. Thanh said India is a reliable partner of Vietnam and Vietnam highly values the Indian Government’s 300-million-USD credit package to promote bilateral trade activities. He suggested both enact measures to realize two-way trade target of 15 billion USD in the future. He welcomed more Indian businesses to invest in Vietnam, especially in renewable energy, oil and gas, and garment-textile. He applauded the direct air route between Hanoi and New Delhi to be launched by VietJet Air in July.

Representatives from Ninh Thuan and Tien Giang introduced their advantages and incentive policies to call for Indian investors.
