Vietnam-Japan ties highlighted on Emperor Naruhito’s 64th birthday

(VOVWORLD) -The Japanese Embassy in Vietnam hosted a celebration of 64th birthday of  Japanese Emperor Naruhito  on Friday evening. 
Truong Thi Mai, permanent member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat, Chairwoman of the Party Central Committee's Organization Commission  and Chairwoman of the Vietnam-Japan Parliamentary Friendship Group, sent a congratulatory message to the ceremony.

At the event, on behalf of the Government and people of Vietnam, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son sent the warmest congratulations to the Emperor, Empress and Royal Family, the Government and people of Japan. FM Son said he believes that the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Japan has been entering a new chapter in the two countries' relationship, with unlimited development potential.

Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Yamada Takio said that Japan-Vietnam relations are currently developing at the best level in history. The two countries upgraded their ties to "Comprehensive strategic partnership for peace and prosperity in Asia and the world" in 2023. The Ambassador said he believes that in 2024, the cooperative relationship between the two countries will have a remarkable development, worthy of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

On the occasion, the Japanese Embassy awarded the Order of the Rising Sun to former Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Doan Xuan Hung.
