Vietnam’s COVID-19 cases reach 4-month high on Wednesday

(VOVWORLD) -The Ministry of Health said that Vietnam on Wednesday reported 3,878 new cases of COVID-19, an increase of nearly 300 cases compared to Tuesday and the highest number of daily cases in more than 4 months. There were 2 deaths recorded in Cao Bang and Tay Ninh.

Since the onset of the epidemic, Vietnam’s caseload has reached 11,428,632 cases of COVID-19, ranking 12th out of 227 countries and territories, while with the ratio of infections per million people, Vietnam ranks 112.

During the day, an additional 14,927 patients were announced to be cured. Currently, the number of recoveries totals 10.252,898.

As of Wednesday, 257,671,610 doses of COVID-19 vaccine was administered.
