Vietnam ’s fisheries sector aims to gain an export revenue of 6.5 billion dollars this year with shrimps and tra fish top the earners’ list. Secretary General of the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers, Truong Dinh Hoe, expects more processing production to cover for possible reduction in seafood volume due to adverse weather and higher cost:“We will try to ensure sustainable input sources by scientific and technological applications. We will promote the Vietnamese seafood brand as safe and environmentally friendly products to win consumers’ trust."
