Vietnam’s integration, development spotlighted at int’l conference
(VOVWORLD) - The 6th international conference on Vietnamese studies opened in Hanoi on Thursday, focusing on the country’s proactive integration and sustainable development.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam said the political report at the 13th National Party Congress, held at the beginning of 2021, affirmed the viewpoint of taking people as the centre, target, and impulse of development; inspiring the aspiration for developing a prosperous and happy nation; and bringing into play the country’s role as an active and responsible member of the international community, thus helping make and keep peace and boost cooperation for development in the region and the world.
He held that scientists, including those working on Vietnamese studies, need to continue studying to seek ways for tapping into the country’s values and potential so that it can develop faster and more sustainably.
The conference received 730 reports related to various areas, from history, economy and politics, to international relations, by domestic and foreign scholars, experts, and scientists.
It is scheduled to last through Friday.
