(VOVworld) – A senior delegation of Vietnam’s Public Security Ministry, led by Minister To Lam, is on a working visit to Laos.

At a reception on Tuesday, Lao President Bounnhang Vorachith expressed his hope for strengthened public security cooperation, contributing to Laos’ socio-economic development and the special friendship between Laos and Vietnam. Mr. Lam said he hopes the two countries’ security forces will strengthen cooperation in combating crime and ensuring security and order.

Lao Prime Minister Thongloun Xixulith spoke highly of cooperation between the two countries in preventing organized, transnational and drug-related crime, and in training personnel.
