Vietnam’s National Day marked abroad

(VOVworld) – The Vietnamese embassy in Rusia held a ceremony to mark Vietnam’s National Day at the Hanoi-Moscow Culture-Trade Center on Tuesday. Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Son reviewed Vietnam’s major achievements under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam over the past 70 years and praised the development of relations between Vietnam and Russia: “I believe that the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Russia will continue to grow. President Putin said we have been side by side and will continue to support one another in all circumstances.”

In Singapore, Vietnamese ambassador said Vietnam has begun a new phase of its economic reform. Vietnam will expand economic relations with 54 countries to create new momentum for growth. He said the growing Vietnam-Singapore strategic cooperation will be the foundation to promote bilateral ties and mutual support at multilateral forums in the coming years.   

The Vietnamese embassy in Cambodia held a banquet on Tuesday to mark Vietnam’s 70th National Day. Ambassador Thach Du reviewed Vietnam’s major achievements during 30 years of renewal and said that Vietnam will continue with its foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, and international integration. Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister Hor Namhong praised cooperation between the two countries and expressed his admiration at Vietnam’s growth.

The Vietnamese embassy in Japan held a ceremony to mark the occasion on the same day with the attendance of 800 representatives of the Japanese government, businesses, and diplomatic missions. Ambassador Nguyen Quoc Cuong hailed Japan’s assistance for Vietnam in recent years and hoped for more consolidated friendship in the future. President of the Japan-Vietnam Parliamentary Alliance Toshihiro Nikai expressed his belief in better Vietnam-Japan relations.

Earlier, the Vietnamese embassy in Mongolia held a function in Ulan Bato. Mongolia Deputy Parliament speaker Gonchigdorj congratulated Vietnam on its National Day and said he believed friendship and cooperation betwene the two countries will continue to prosper for peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.
