Vietnam’s Reunification Day marked worldwide

(VOVworld) – Various activities marking the 40thanniversary of Vietnam’s southern liberation and national reunification were held worldwide. A photo exhibit was held at the headquarters of Mexico’s Lower House.

At a ceremony in Mozambique, Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Van Trung and participants reviewed the 1975 Spring Victory that liberated southern Vietnam and reunited Vietnam. 
At a press conference in the Algerian capital city of Algiers, Vietnamese Ambassador Vu The Hiep briefed guests on Vietnam’s achievements in domestic and foreign policy over the past 40 years.
At a ceremony in Belarus, Deputy Chairman of the Standing Commission of the House of Representatives on Foreign Affairs, Vitaly Busko, congratulated Vietnam on the occasion.
A similar ceremony in Hungary was attended by formers members of the committee that monitored implementation of the Paris Agreement in Vietnam. They hailed Vietnam’s socio-economic accomplishments during the past 40 years.

A special ceremony was held in Vladivostok in Russia’s Far East to pay tribute to Russian veterans who supported Vietnam during the struggle to liberate southern Vietnam.
