Vietnam-Slovakia’s joint statement

(VOVworld) - Slovakia’s Prime Minister Robert Fico begins his official visit to Vietnam from July 16 to July 19 at the invitation of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

During the visit, he held talks with PM Phuc, met with Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, President Tran Dai Quang and National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan. He also attended the Vietnam-Slovakia Business Forum, met the Vietnam-Slovakia Friendship Association and visited Da Nang city. During bilateral meetings, both sides praised their 60-year traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation and expressed determination to increase two way trade and achieve trade balance. Both sides agreed to settle East Sea disputes through peaceful means, to abide by the UN Charter, the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea, the Declaration of Conduct of Parties in the East Sea and to soon formulate the Code of Conduct of Parties in the East Sea.
