At a seminar held at the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, delegates analyzed Vietnam’s position in US foreign policy and the world. Both countries have implemented measures for more effective cooperation.

Vietnamese Ambassador to the US Ha Kim Ngoc told the seminar that Vietnam and the US have the potential to expand their cooperation in a variety of ways. The stable Vietnam-US comprehensive partnership is an important element in maintaining regional peace, security, and cooperation. Vietnam and ASEAN countries will continue to strengthen relations with large countries including the US, China, Japan, the EU, Australia, and India.

Ngoc said the two countries are preparing to mark the 25th anniversary of diplomatic ties next year. He underlined that goodwill and trust building efforts are opening up new horizons for substantive bilateral cooperation for the next 25 years.
