Voter meetings in Hanoi and HCMC

(VOVworld) – President Tran Dai Quang and four candidates for the 14th National Assembly met with voters of polling station No1, consisting of districts 1, 3, and 4 in Ho Chi Minh City, from Monday to Thursday to present their action plans as required by law.

Their plans focus on improvements to the living environment and conditions, the healthcare system, greater social equality for women, and job generation for young people.

President Quang said his top priorities are fine-tuning the legal system and improving the efficiency of sate governance.  

He promised to build strong, elite, and modern armed forces for safeguarding independence, national sovereignty, and territorial integrity, ensuring political stability, and creating a peaceful environment for national development and international integration.

Mr. Quang stressed his determination to eliminate corruption to strengthen the public’s trust in the Party, state, and government.

He said he will consistently pursue a foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, cooperation, and development, proactively integrating into the world, serving the national interests to the utmost, maintaining peace and stability, and making full use of resources for national development and improving people’s lives.

Other candidates said they will listen to voters’ opinions, relay them to the NA, and protect the people’s legitimate rights and interests. They also promised to work closely with relevant agencies to address voters’ concerns.

On Wednesday, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai met with voters of Ba Vi district. Candidates pledged that once they become NA deputies, they will try to improve the quality of legislative oversight, propose new ideas for socio-economic development, and pay more attention to disadvantaged areas.
