Warring parties in Sudan resume indirect talks

(VOVWORLD) - Warring parties in Sudan on Tuesday resumed talks on a ceasefire mediated by Saudi Arabia and the US, amid ongoing clashes both on land and in the air in its capital city Khartoum.

Al-Jazeera TV channel reported that the conflicting parties in Sudan have agreed to indirect talks, but did not provide further details.

The Sudanese army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Force (RSF) have yet commented on the information.
On Tuesday, Sudan's army chief General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan had a phone call with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan to discuss a ceasefire in Sudan.
