WB approves 380 million USD to help Vietnam address climate change

(VOVworld) – The World Bank has approved a credit project worth 387 million USD to help Vietnam address climate change and ensure sustainable livelihood for 1.2 million people in 9 Mekong delta provinces, which has been affected by flooding, saltwater intrusion, and land erosion. The project will benefit farmers, particularly rice growers, in upstream areas and seafood producers in coastal areas, including the Khmer in Soc Trang and Tra Vinh provinces. The International Development Association contributed 310 million USD to the project.
