Philipp Rösler, former Deputy Prime Minister of Germany and Vietnam's first Honorary Consul to Switzerland, said that Vietnam has made clear contributions at multilateral forums in recent times.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh leading a high-level delegation, including many business representatives, to attend the upcoming WEF annual conference in Davos is an important milestone, said Rösler, adding, Vietnam is a country with strengths in future-oriented economic plans, a strong focus on sustainable growth and digitalization in all sectors ranging from food, agriculture, manufacturing to services, and digital solutions.

Ivo Sieber, former Swiss Ambassador to Vietnam, said he has high hopes for the trip by the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation because the Prime Minister will not only attend the Davos meetings, but will also have sideline meetings.

Vietnam should take advantage of platforms to promote multilateral cooperation like the Davos meetings to show the world the achievements of the Vietnamese Party and government in recent years, said Roger Köppel, who was a member of the Swiss People's Party and currently is the Editor-in-Chief of the Die Weltwoche, a weekly magazine.
