She said Mr. Trump is ready for the meeting to happen, and if it doesn't, the US will continue maximum pressure against North Korea.

South Korea believes Pyongyang is still committed to denuclearization despite its suspension of talks with Seoul, South Korean President’s secretary Yoon Young-chan said.

China called on North Korea and the US to meet despite the North’s threat to cancel, calling it the only way to reduce tension on the Korean peninsula and achieve peace and stability in the region.
