(VOVWORLD) - A 100-megawatt project worth 63 million USD began Tuesday in Binh Dinh province.

The project, funded by Japan’s Fujiwara company, will have 2 phases. In the first phase, a 50MW solar plant will be built on 60 hectares on the western slope of Phuong Mai mountain in the Nhon Hoi economic zone. This plant is expected to be operational next February.
The second phase will see a 50MW wind-power plant constructed on Nui Ba mountain slope in Phu Cat district. This 250-hectare facility is expected to be operational in 2020.
