(VOVWORLD) - There was a total of nearly 150,000 Vietnamese working abroad in 2019, 123% of the year’s target and up 3% from last year, said the Department of Overseas Labor of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs.

Japan leads the list of employers with 80,000 workers, followed by Taiwan (China) with 54,000 workers, and the Republic of Korea with 7,000.
2019 was the 5th year Vietnam had more than 120,000 workers working overseas. Currently, there are 650,000 Vietnamese workers in more than 40 countries and territories in 30 different areas.
