The event, which will run until Friday, marks the reopening of the exhibition centre after the social distancing period.

It is an annual activity organised in celebration of International Day for Older Persons (October 1).

Themed “Hallmark 2021”, the display features nearly 100 paintings and sculptures that haven’t been unveiled or just been created this year.

Most of the participating artists are over 70 years old, including female painter Nguyen Minh My, born in 1923.

The items are under diverse themes and made from various materials, from lacquer, pigment, acrylic, silk, to oil and water colour.
