(VOVworld) – On Wednesday, the Institute of Buddhist Studies and the Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities jointly held a workshop entitled “Vietnam Buddhist Shangha: 35 years of establishment and development”. Participants looked at the circumstances leading to the establishment of the Shangha, its historical role, opportunities and the challenges of Vietnamese Buddhism in relations to the nation and its social responsibilities.
