Workshop on National Assembly work on people’s aspiration

(VOVworld)-The National Assembly Office and the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung office in Vietnam have opened a seminar on the topic of “Exchange of experience on the handling of People's Petitions in the National Assembly”. The event was within the KAS-EU Project “Promoting efficient interaction between the National Assembly and Civil Society in Vietnam” and jointly held by the Board of People’s Aspiration of the National Assembly. Participants discussed cooperative mechanism and renovation in meeting with voters, supervision and correspondence. They held that deputies should absorb and reflect the voters’ opinions. The National Assembly should promote its explanation of laws and guide the implementation of civil rights. Head of the 13th National Assembly Board of People’s Aspiration, Nguyen Duc Hien: “We will have useful exchanges of opinions from many experts at the event to improve the quality of voters’ meetings by the deputies as well as resolution of complaints and supervision.”
