(VOVworld)-The Government Inspectorate opened a consultation workshop on the role played by the society in the fight against corruption as part of the Asia-Pacific’s anti-corruption initiatives. Delegates called for more efficient cooperation between organizations and authorized state agencies. Nguyen Van Cac is from the Vietnam’s Small and Medium Sized Business Association:“We need to promote the people’s participation to uproot corruption, especially through legal mechanism to protect whistle blowers. Provisional measures must be available to protect them and ensure proper investigation depending on the seriousness of the case.”

Participants said public’s awareness on their right to public service access must be promoted while business regulations must be transparent and equal to all businesses.
