World Natural Heritage Phong Nha - Ke Bang preserved

(VOVworld) – Preserving and promoting the World Natural Heritage Site of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park was high on the agenda of a seminar held Thursday in the central province of Quang Binh. Participants of the seminar, jointly organized by the Quang Binh provincial People’s Committee, the Vietnam National UNESCO Committee, and Vietnam’s Cultural Heritage Department, heard 30 reports highlighting the site’s geologic and historical values, as well as its bio-diversity, management, preservation, and exploration.

Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park in Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province, covers 86,000 hectares of core zone and 195,000 hectares of buffer zone. The park’s rich and unique flora make it one of the world’s 238 most important ecological regions.
