Its sponsor, the Spanish Embassy, will hold a competition on its facebook page centering around tapas recipes and Spanish cuisine.

At a press conference in Hanoi on Monday, Spanish Ambassador to Vietnam Maria Jesus Figa Loez Palop said she is happy that this event will make Spanish cuisine better known among Vietnamese people. Tapas are diverse, typically featuring a slice of bread topped with cheese or olives and bell peppers. Each one looks like a unique work of art, Palop said.

Tapas is a bite-size savory Spanish typical dish. It is often served as an appetizer before meals and it can include many different tasty ingredients such as olives, cheese, ham, and squid. Tapas is usually accompanied by a beer or a glass or wine.
