(VOVworld) - A writing competition themed “War veterans follow President Ho Chi Minh’s example in environmental protection” was launched in Hanoi today for every citizen in northern Vietnam. Tran Phong of the Vietnam Environment Administration, who is head of the contest’s organizing board said: "Environmental issues are now of great social concern and require combined effort of people from all social strata. I believe this campaign will see wide response by the public, and we’re hoping to receive many moving stories on this topic." The award presentation ceremony will be held in November.
