(VOVWORLD) - Relations between China and Japan are facing important development opportunities and China is ready to boost ties with Japan to a new height, Chinese President Xi Jinping told Japanese Prime Minister Abe Shinzo during a meeting on Monday
The leaders are currently attending a trilateral meeting with South Korea in Sichuan province, China. President Xi said China and Japan need to exchange views on strategic issues, resolve sensitive key issues, and strengthen political ties.
Abe said he appreciates the development of ties between Japan and China and underlined its importance to global peace, stability, and prosperity.
