Young Overseas Vietnamese pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at Nha Rong Wharf

(VOVWORLD) -More than 100 Overseas Vietnamese members of the Vietnam Camp 2017 offered flowers and incense to President Ho Chi Minh at his monument in Nha Rong Wharf, Ho Chi Minh city, on Wednesday.

The students attended a seminar, watched videos, and read memoirs and books about President Ho Chi Minh’s life and career. Do Thuy Linh from Slovakia said:“This is the first time I have visited Ho Chi Minh City. I am very happy and excited to learn more about this place. We shared our memories about the city named after our beloved Uncle Ho. I want to make more friends and we will together gain more knowledge on our homeland.”

The Vietnam Camp 2017, entitled “Young Overseas Vietnamese’s pride of the southern land”, will run until the end of the month. Members tour Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho City, and other areas of the Mekong Delta to study local history, culture, customs, and the preservation of natural environment.
