Floating houses developed in flood prone areas
(VOVWORLD) -The Houses Against Floods Program has praised the successful utilization of floating houses in Quang Binh province in recent floods.

In its press release on Tuesday, the program said since it was initiated in 2014, nearly 680 floating houses have been installed in Tan Hoa commune, Minh Hoa district, Quang Binh province. A dozen of pontoon designs for the houses have been created to fit with various disaster scenarios in Vietnam. The non-profit program aims to develop safe housing models for sustainable livelihoods in all flood prone areas nationwide.
