Health sector aims to improve treatment quality
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam celebrates Health Insurance Day on Sunday, July 1st. Over the past few years, the health sector has improved the quality of health treatment.
The health insurance coverage has been expanded with nearly 85.6% of the population or 80 million people buying health insurance. The state has funded health insurance for the poor, ethnic minority people, children under six, and social beneficiaries. Vietnam aims to increase the health insurance coverage to 90.7% of the population by 2020. The Ministry of Health has applied IT in the management of treatment and health insurance payment to ensure transparency and effectiveness.
