Naval soldiers on DK1 platform celebrate Tet

(VOVWORLD) - The DK1 platform are clusters of Vietnam’s economic and technical services built on the southern continental shelf, about 250-350 nautical miles from the mainland. Naval soldiers on the platform are tasked to protect the sovereignty of national sea, islands, and continental shelf.

Young soldier Pham Van Nhan, who just arrived at the DK1 platform to take on duty more than a month ago, said he is excited to celebrate the traditional Lunar New Year or Tet in a special place.

Major Nguyen The Sanh, information officer on the DK1 platform, said: “The DK1-21 platform has prepared everything for Tet, We celebrate Tet but not forget our mission. We are always on duty to ensure that people across the country enjoy a happy Tet.”
