Photo exhibition marks 70 years of Vietnam-Russia relations

(VOVWORLD) - A conference and photo exhibition opened in Da Nang City on Friday to mark 70 years of  friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Russia.

Nguyen Ngoc Binh, Chairman of the Da Nang Union of Friendship Organizations, which organized the events, said, “The conference and exhibition aim to review the developments of the Vietnam-Russia diplomatic relations over the past 70 years.” “Despite numerous difficulties and challenges, the two countries have demonstrated traditional friendship and firm cooperation. The event also aims to define future activities to consolidate special relations,” Binh added.

Plam Andrei Yurievich, the Russian Consul General in Da Nang, said Vietnam is a reliable partner, promising friend, and one of three important strategic partners of Russia in Asia.

Vietnam-Russia Oil and Gas Joint Stock Company (Vietsovpetro), a symbol of the bilateral ties, has provided one third of the total volume of crude oil in Vietnam.
