The program was co‑organized by the Voice of Vietnam, the Party Central Committee’s Communication and Education Commission, the General Politics Department of the Vietnam People’s Army, and Khanh Hoa province.

General Luong Cuong, General Director of the General Politics Department, Nguyen Trong Nghia, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communications and Education, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, and the leaders of the Party, State, ministries, and 28 coastal localities attended the event.

The main stage on the land was connected with the deck of a naval ship, creating an impressive space. The program harmoniously combined art performances, reports, and discussions with guests to convey a message of Vietnam, a marine country with an eternal desire to conquer the sea, prosper from the sea, maintain peace at sea, and protect the sovereignty of the national sea and islands.

The program told stories of 28 coastal cities and provinces and activities to protect the national sea and islands and promote the marine economy, tourism, and culture.

The last segment of the program featured 300 soldiers of the navy, the coast guards, the fishing surveillance force, the border guards, and the air force, who represented the determination and unity of all armed forces to protect national sea and islands and national sovereignty.

Also on Saturday, the Khanh Hoa provincial People’s Committee inaugurated the Fund for Fishery Development, which is part of activities to develop Truong Sa district into a socio-economic and cultural center at sea, and a solid fortress protecting national sovereignty.
At the event, organizations, and businesses contributed more than 1 million USD to the Fund and the Vietnam-Korea Business and Investment Association (VKBIA) donated 100,000 USD.
