Vietnam poised to take advantage of 4th industrial revolution

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam is determined to transform itself from a consumer to a provider of technology and services in the future and take advantage of the 4th industrial revolution, said Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Pham Dai Duong.

He made the comments at the Vietnam – Japan Scientific Exchange Meeting (VJSE 2017), held in Japan recently. Duong highlighted the important role of overseas Vietnamese scientists to the development of science and technology at home.

Reports at the event focused on the 4th industrial revolution and Vietnam-Japan cooperation. It also included discussions on information technology, artificial intelligence, bio-medicine, and nano-micro materials.

The exchange meeting was attended by hundreds of representatives from Japan, Vietnam, the Republic of Korea, Australia, and Taiwan (China).
