During the event, 8 business representatives pitched their ideas and received comments from investors. Speaking in the event, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Vu Hong Nam, who is also Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs, said Vietnam has been praised for its potential to become a startup nation: “We have been very successful in this forum with the participation of more than 400 young and talented businesses. The forum has connected local start-ups with their peers in the US and other countries while strengthening links between management agencies, start-up incubators and young talents.”

Patrick Nguyen is leading his team in a project called Ekid Studio to apply virtual reality in educational toys: “Speakers have helped us a lot. Brainstorming brings more ideas for us to decide and improve our products.

The forum was a follow-up to last year’s forum on connecting Vietnamese startups in the US and Vietnam
