(VOVWORLD) - Last week, the High Command of the Coast Guard Region 4 coordinated with the Soc Trang provincial Party Committee and Vinh Chau Town to hold a program to propagate the law on fisheries and the law on Coast Guard, and popularize information about IUU fishing prevention.

The High Command of the Coast Guard Region 4 also cooperated with Hung Vuong Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, Vinh Chau town medical center, and Vinh Hai commune health center, to provide free medical check-ups for 400 people in Vinh Hai commune. They also worked with Vinh Hai border guard station, Soc Trang province's border guards to collect 5 tons of waste of all kinds.
On the occasion, the High Command of the Coast Guard Region 4 presented 700 national flags, 50 kits of first aids medicines to owner of fishing vessels and 50 gifts to disadvantaged fishermen.
