Vietnamese Coast Guard officers participate in UN peacekeeping missions

(VOVWORLD) - Two Vietnamese Coast Guard officers will participate in the UN Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) and the UN Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA).

At a meeting with Major Luc Thai Ha, who joins MINUSCA, and Captain Vu Quang Khai, who serves with UNISFA, Major General Le Quang Dao, Commander of the Vietnam Coast Guard, asked them to uphold the qualities of Vietnamese soldiers and overcome all challenges to successfully fulfill their duties.

Major Luc Thai Ha said they have been fully prepared to join the UN peace missions, adding they will quickly adapt to the new working environment and spread the image of a peace-loving Vietnam.
