Vietnam’s sailing ship makes a friendly visit to Singapore

(VOVWORLD) - Sailing ship 286-Le Quy Don of the Vietnam Naval Academy left the Nha Trang military port on Wednesday for a friendly visit to Singapore, as part of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations and the 10th anniversary of their strategic partnership.

The Vietnamese delegation, led by Deputy Political Commissar of the Vietnam Naval Academy Colonel Bui Duy Thong, visited the Singapore Naval Command,  hosted a party and musical event on board, engaged in cultural and sports exchanges with the Singapore Navy, and toured historic and cultural landmarks in Singapore.

The visit aims to further enhance the friendship, cooperation, and mutual understanding and trust between the military and naval forces of the two countries.

It will also bolster the two navies’ ability to coordinate in addressing common maritime security challenges, while maintain peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the region.
