(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on Wednesday in Hanoi received the newly-appointed East Timorese ambassador Jorge Trindade Neves de Camoes. Congratulating the ambassador on his new mission in Vietnam, PM Dung said Vietnam always treasures and wishes to boost the multifaceted cooperation with East Timor, particularly in economics, trade, and investment for practical benefits and mutual development. He expressed his hope that East Timor will create favorable conditions for the two countries’ businesses to strengthen cooperation and support Vietnamese businesses to invest in East Timor. The PM noted that with market principles, Vietnam is always ready to export rice to East Timor, helping to ensure food security there.

The ambassador pledged to do his utmost to boost bilateral ties in all fields, particularly in agriculture. He expressed his hope that Vietnam will share its experiences and advance cooperation with East Timor in infrastructure, telecommunications and agricultural development.
