VOV to boost multimedia development

(VOVworld) – The Voice of Vietnam (VOV) reviewed its performance in 2014 and discussed plans for this year. VOV President Nguyen Dang Tien said despite difficulties VOV in 2014 managed to fulfill the tasks assigned by the Party and state to meet people’s information needs.

He said that VOV will continue to boost the development of all 4 media formats: radio, television, print, and online to become a multimedia complex: “Our utmost political task will continue to be communicating Party and state policies and reflecting people’s opinions and aspirations. Stability and renovation will be the foundation for VOV to move forward.”

VOV’s key tasks in 2015 will be establishing a national foreign information radio channel, a 24/7 English channel, expanding its coverage, and launching emulation movements to celebrate its 70th anniversary. A number of collectives and individuals received the Labor Order, third class and the Prime Minister’s certificate of merit to mark the occasion.
