Vietnam’s software sector grows rapidly overseas
(VOVworld) – Truong Gia Binh, President of the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA), said Vietnamese IT enterprises are preparing to welcome a shift of the IT market from foreign investors, particularly those from Japan. He said Vietnam is a reliable partner of Japan, the US, and Europe with an annual growth rate of 20-30%: “Vietnamese IT enterprises are medium-sized in terms of technology and prices. Vietnam is an IT-developed country with competitive prices. IT products can go through Vietnam to other countries. Work attitude is very important when working abroad so Vietnamese workers need to improve themselves first.”
According to VINASA, Vietnam’s software sector grew 10-15% a year between 2011 and 2015. Vietnam’s exports of software products and IT services have grown 30-40% year on year.
