Dang Thuy Ha, Director of Northern Region Nielson Vietnam, said: “Consumers want convenience. So retailers should offer customers convenient services at traditional stores and online marketplaces. Products should be designed to fit practical and domestic demands alongside luxury product lines. Products and services should be safe for health.”

Experts said during global integration and free trade agreements with many countries, foreign enterprises will enter Vietnam’s market in order to expand their retail networks. The 4th Industrial Revolution has opened a fierce competition between traditional and modern retail channels. They said Vietnam should develop a sustainable retail strategy and improve infrastructure to create an attractive business environment.
