By the end of the ninth lunar month, Tan Ba and adjacent areas temporarily suspend growing vegetable to turn to growing flowers for Tet.
Covering an area of nearly 10 hectares, farmers grow various types of splendid flowers for Tet, including chrysanthemums, marigolds, cockscombs, and sunflowers.
In order for the flowers to bloom in time for the festive, farmers in Tan Ba have strictly followed weather forecast to take proper care of the flowers.
This year, Tan Ba farmers are excited as the flowers are in full bloom thanks to favourable weather.
Traders from Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, and Binh Duong come to make deposits and wait for the day to cut flowers to sell.
Flowers of Tan Ba village are sought after before and during Tet.
Tan Ba is the only flower village in Binh Duong. Therefore, in the days leading up to Tet, many tourists from all over choose to come to visit to snap photos.
Despite fast urbanisation, residents in Tan Ba have retained the land for agriculture and flower growing.
