Pac Rang is located in Phuc Sen commune, a northern upland locality that is home to approximately 2,000 people of the Nung An ethnic minority group.
Legend has it that the craft of blacksmithing in the village has existed since the 11th century. People produced weapons for fighting at first and then turned to forging tools for agricultural production and daily life.
Phuc Sen has become the largest blacksmithing workshop in the northern region, with the craft passed down from generation to generation. Its products are famous for their sharpness and durability.
According to veterans who reside in the village, the craft heavily relies on the delicate feel of the ears, eyes, and experience of the craftsman.
The products are durable, sharp, and sure, so they are very popular both locally and nationally.
The products are even purchased by visitors as souvenirs, giving local blacksmiths a great source of motivation to constantly hone their skills.
