(VOVworld) - The Vietnamese Government is ready to provide the best possible conditions for Laos’s National Economic Research Institute (NERI) to effectively cooperate with its Vietnamese partners.

Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue made the statement at a reception in Hanoi on Thursday for the Institute’s Director Bouasone Bouphavanh, who is also former Prime Minister of Laos.

Mr. Hue applauded the cooperation between NERI and the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS) in researching and advising their Parties and States on economic policy.

Bouasone Bouphavanh, who is on a working visit to Vietnam, said Laos’s National Economic Research Institute is a new agency that researches and advises the Lao Party and State on socio-economic development policy. The Institute has been working with VASS to share experience in making socio-economic development policy, hoping for more assistance from the Vietnamese Government in their collaboration.
