124 prizes to be announced at 17th National Press Awards
(VOVWORLD) - Nine A, 24 B, 46 C prizes, and 45 consolation prizes of the National Press Awards 2022 will be awarded at a ceremony next Wednesday, which coincides with the 98th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, June 21, the Award Council announced at Friday’s press conference in Hanoi.

The National Press Awards is the most prestigious award dedicated to outstanding journalistic works and honors the best authors or groups of authors each year.
This year, 157 works from 1,894 entries have been selected for awarding.
Do Thi Thu Hang, Head of the Professional Affairs Department of the Vietnam Journalists Association and Vice Chairwoman of the Primary Judging Committee, said this year's works are of good quality.
“Most of them strictly followed the country’s practical developments and reflected hot issues last year covering economics, politics, society, security-defense, and Party building. Many journalistic products had been carefully invested in regards of the content and format thus creating social impact and displaying professionalism, attractiveness, and the spirit of modern journalism,” said Hang.
The award ceremony will be broadcast live on Vietnam television and Voice of Vietnam.
