30 killed and injured in Egypt's pro-Morsi protests

(VOVworld)-At least 5 people were killed and 22 people were injured on Friday during clashes between security forces and supporters of ousted former Islamist President Mohamed Morsi who held anti- government protests across Egypt.

In one announcement, Egypt’s Interior Ministry said that four people were killed in a house in Fayoum when the homemade explosives that they were preparing went off. The four belonged to the currently-blacklisted Muslim Brotherhood group, the main loyalists of the deposed Islamist president. MENA news agency reported that, police discovered and disabled more than 40 other bombs at the scene of the explosion. On the same day, Islamist continued to launch many protests in small scale in districts of Cairo city and Giza province, as well as in Alexandria city which were quickly dismissed by the security force. According to Egypt's Interior Ministry 54 protestors were arrested in Egypt during Friday protests.
