Approximately 200 children representing 25 million peers across the country, participated in the event.

Participants shared initiatives and solutions aimed at creating a safe, healthy environment for children.

High on the agenda are prevention of child abuse and violence, reduction of injuries, drowning, and traffic accidents, protection of children in cyber space, and solutions to addressing climate change, epidemics, and natural disasters, and combating child labor.

Nguyen Thi Nga, deputy director of the Department of Children at the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs, said: “This year's forum introduced some new features. The children met face-to-face with leaders from the National Assembly's Committee for Culture and Education, the Ministry of Education and Training, and the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union. The organizers value children's perspectives, and hope their ideas, solutions, and aspirations will be thoroughly studied, absorbed, and concretized into specific plans and programs."
