95 new local infections of COVID-19 confirmed Monday evening

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam recorded 95 new local COVID-19 cases Monday evening, according to the Ministry of Health.

44 cases were in Bac Giang province, 31 in Bac Ninh province, 13 in Hanoi, 6 in Lang Son province, and 1 in HCM city.

The latest cases brought the total count in Vietnam on Monday to 187.

Vietnam has so far detected 5,404 cases, including 2794 recoveries.

On Monday morning, Vietnam recorded 2 more coronavirus deaths, bringing the country’s fatality tally to 44. The deceased patients were a 50-year-old man who had cirrhosis after being an alcoholic for years and a 38-year-old female worker at an industrial park in the northern province of Bac Giang. 9 patients have died since COVID-19 reemerged in Vietnam on April 27.
