At the launch in Dien Bien province on Wednesday, 50 gifts and scholarships worth 1,500 USD were presented to local children who overcame life difficulties to study.
In Hung Yen province, activities of the month will focus on creating a safe, healthy and friendly environment for children, offering scholarships and sponsorship for poor children, supporting rehabilitation surgeries for handicapped children and those with inborn heart disease, and establishing Child Care Foundation.
The central province of Phu Yen responded to the month by targeting 98% of wards, districts, and towns matching standards for child care. As a result, all children under 6 will be provided healthcare insurance, more than 90% of children and their families will be provided with psychological and legal consultation on healthcare, and reintegrate 94% of street children into the community.
