Activities mark Day for Vietnamese AO/Dioxin victims

(VOVworld) -  Activities marking 52 years of Day for Vietnamese AO/Dioxin victims are being held nationwide. Danang city’s Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin has worked with charitable organizations to provide rehabilitation services to 160 AO victims and present 300 gifts to local victims.

40 AO victims have received lifelong nutrition support from Danang airport. Quang Tri province’s Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin has built 3 charitable houses, provided business capital assistance to 20 AO victim families, and presented 500 gifts to local victims. 

An exhibition entitled “A journey for justice for Vietnamese victims of Agent Orange/dioxin” opens in Ho Chi Minh city.

The photos feature the activities of the Vietnam Association of Vietnamese Agent Orange/dioxin victims over the last decade, hearings at the US House of Representatives and the International People’s Tribunal of Conscience to gain justice for Vietnamese victims, and the support of individuals and organizations for Vietnamese Agent Orange/dioxin victims. The organizing board said the exhibition introduces to the community, particularly young people, a deeper understanding of the war’s consequences and called on the entire society to work together to overcome the negative effects of the defoliant that the US troops sprayed in Vietnam.
