Brazilian parliamentarians visit Vietnamese AO victims

(VOVworld) - The friendship parliamentarians’ group of Vietnam and Brazil has worked with the Vietnam Association for Victims of Agent Orange/dioxin (VAVA).

It was part of the delegation’s activities during its visit to Vietnam from November 24-28.

Lieutenant General Nguyen The Luc, the Association’s Vice Chairman, expressed his hope that after the visit Brazilian lawmakers will share what they saw of Vietnam’s Agent Orange situation and the pain of Vietnamese victims to the Brazilian parliament and people.

Luc said Vietnam and Brazil should increase the exchange of delegations to boost diplomatic ties towards global peace.

Jo Moraes, head of the Brazilian delegation, expressed her sympathy for AO victims and their families. She took the occasion to call for the tightening of bilateral solidarity and friendship, and also with other countries around the world.
